Ovacik
Is the name of the area where you are staying, it is set
in the Hillside with Olu Deniz to the left when looking
out over the pool and Fethiye to the right. Both resorts are
a 10 minute taxi or dolmus (local bus) ride away and well worth
a visit.
Hisaronu
20 minute walk to the lively resort or a 2 minute Taxi
journey. It is situated, as you look from the pool down
to the left between the two Mosques. There are many Bars,
shops, Restaurants and the Local market (every Monday) which
can be found at the roundabout which is the entrance to the
resort.
Beaches
Undoubtedly the most impressive sandy beach in Turkey
is the Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz. You have to pay a
small fee to enter. Another favorite of ours is Josephs, which
is to be found to the right of the entrance to the Lagoon.
Walk up and over the hill ¼ mile along the road and
it can be found on the left.

Sight-seeing
Turkish Bath: A bit of fun for the young and old.
Daylan: Mud baths and the home of the loggerhead turtles.
Boat Trips: A real must is the 12 island trip, a long day
but worth it.
Salikent: Another one not to be missed.
Shopping Both Hisaronu and Fethiye offer
the best for shopping but Olu Deniz has a selection of gift
shops.
Nightlife Head for Hisaronu for a lively
night out, whereas Olu Deniz has a laid back attitude which will offer you a more
relaxed evening. Fethiye’s harbour is worth an evening
visit.
Eating Out
There is just too many to choose from in all three resorts.
Crime
Currently crime is very low in the streets! But always stay
vigilant.
Hotels
All the local hotels allow non-residents in to swim, eat and
have a look around.
